We want to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where everybody can realise their full potential and achieve their best.

We’re determined to increase opportunities for women, and we’ve set a goal to increase female representation in the Aliaxis workforce to 25% by 2025, a target which is on track. In 2023 the proportion of women in the business rose to 21.4%, against 19.2% in 2020.

But targeted programmes can help us make faster progress, which is why we launched a women’s mentoring one in France during the year.

The programme, joined by 20 women during the year, pairs participants with a more experienced partner to provide guidance and support through regular meetings.

All the participants meet half-way through to share experience and set next steps and there’s another meeting at the end for feedback and to plot a path forward.

The programme has proved really successful and a new cohort of 40 women have already enlisted to take it into a second year.

Marilyn Gaillot Koubi, an Ecosystem and Sustainability Business Development Director who led the first change to round, attests to its success.

“I witnessed first-hand the transformative power of trust, guidance, and support,” she says.

“Fueled by the endorsement of our local management, we’ve seen how this initiative has not only benefitted the participating women personally and professionally, but also bolstered our attractiveness as an employer.

The programme demonstrates how impactful it is to invest in and believe in our employees’ potential.”
