During 2023 we strengthened our global internal policies to reinforce the social and governance aspects of our broad ESG approach and to reinforce our commitment to act at all times as a responsible business.

Building on an earlier code of conduct, which focused on respect for our policies and procedures, we have now launched a much stronger Code of Ethics to make sure we behave ethically, openly, and fairly in all our interactions with each other, our suppliers, our customers and with the wider world.

Training on the new Code is being rolled out across the company. At the end of 2023, 85% of our office employees were trained on the Code of Ethics.

The Code is anchored in the behaviours that define our culture – we dare, we care, we deliver.

We also launched a new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) policy during the year, backed by the establishment of DE&I councils right across the group to make sure we build a work environment we can be proud of and within which each of us can thrive.

Other revised policies introduced in 2023 included new directives on donations and community, competition, conflicts of interest, enterprise risk management, non-audit services, and information security.
